On the the international community commemorates World Refugee Day. The UNHCR Office in the Republic of Belarus and the International Non-Governmental Association for Scientific Research, Information and Educational Programmes "Evolutio" prepared a series of three programmes called "About Refugees and More". The programmes will be broadcasted by the "Radius-FM" radio station on Mondays, 2, 9 and 16 June from 16.00 until 17.00. On the 18 June the "Radius-FM" radio station will broadcast a talk-show devoted to World Refugee Day. Moreover, 16—20 June 2008 at 11.20 and 14.50 "Radio Roks" will broadcast informational blocks devoted to World Refugee Day. |

On the 14th of May, 2008 at the plenary session the deputies of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus in the second reading approved the draft of the Law "Granting Refugee Status, Providing Additional and Temporary Protection to Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons". |
